Content Moderator — Trust & Safety
Join our Trust & Safety practice to help keep online platforms safe and compliant. As a Content Moderator, you will review user-generated content — images, videos, text, and livestreams — against platform policies, identifying and actioning violations with speed and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Review user-generated content (images, video clips, text posts, comments) against client platform policies.
- Accurately categorise content: approve, remove, escalate, or send for secondary review.
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining accuracy above the contractual SLA threshold.
- Identify and escalate critical content (self-harm, CSAM, terrorism, illegal activity) within defined SLA — typically 2 hours.
- Document content decisions accurately in the moderation tool for audit and reporting.
- Participate in weekly calibration sessions to align on policy interpretation.
- Provide input to QA team on edge cases and policy grey areas.
- Maintain confidentiality of all platform content and user data reviewed.
Requirements
- 1–3 years in content moderation, trust & safety, or online policy enforcement.
- Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail.
- Ability to make consistent, policy-based decisions at speed under volume pressure.
- Emotional resilience — this role involves exposure to graphic or disturbing content; structured well-being support is provided.
- Basic proficiency in English; additional regional language skills valued.
- Graduate degree preferred; 10+2 with relevant experience considered.
Nice to Have
- Experience moderating video, livestream, or social media content specifically.
- Familiarity with content moderation tools (Jira-based queues, Brainware, or similar).
- Understanding of CSAM reporting obligations and platform policy frameworks.
